| Delegation: Why Put Off Until Tomorrow What Someone Else Can Do Today? - CD Seminar | |
|
| Course Description |
| Delegation means legitimately assigning part of your tasks to someone else. When done well, everyone wins. When done poorly, we experience “bossing,” “dumping,” or wasted effort. In spite of compelling arguments in support of delegation, professionals often don’t do it or do it poorly. Engineers are especially adept at rationalizing why they cannot delegate or delegate more. This webinar addresses these obstacles to delegation and, more importantly, explains how to delegate effectively to produce win-win results. Participants in this one-hour webinar receive a handout summarizing the webinar and it includes references to articles, books, e-newsletters, websites, and other self-study materials. |

"It is a great format. It allows many of us to gather in the conference room during lunch hour to attend the seminar in a very efficient and limited timeframe. The hour length is fantastic. It fits into our brown bag lunch seminar plan."
"In an environment where time management is so crucial, it is wonderful to be able to attend a meaningful seminar with such little ancillary time commitments such as travel and coordination. My compliments. ASCE has found the perfect seminar format for today's busy professional." |
