| Productive Meetings: How to Plan and Conduct - CD Seminar | |
|
| Course Description |
| Psychologists Robert Kriegel and David Brandt state, “meetings have become the practical alternative to work.” Comedian Milton Berle said, “a committee is a group that keeps minutes and loses hours.” There’s some truth in these negative comments on meetings. However, it doesn’t have to be that way – and that’s the point of this seminar! Meetings can be both enjoyable and productive if thoughtfully planned, conducted and followed up. And you can be the “hero” by orchestrating productive meetings! Presented in this one-hour seminar are practical suggestions to help you plan, conduct and follow-up on successful meetings. It’s not “rocket science,” but careful organization and thoughtful consideration of and preparation by participants are absolutely required. Includes references to articles, books, e-newsletters, websites and other self-study materials. |

"It is a great format. It allows many of us to gather in the conference room during lunch hour to attend the seminar in a very efficient and limited timeframe. The hour length is fantastic. It fits into our brown bag lunch seminar plan."
"In an environment where time management is so crucial, it is wonderful to be able to attend a meaningful seminar with such little ancillary time commitments such as travel and coordination. My compliments. ASCE has found the perfect seminar format for today's busy professional." |
