
MicroStation Version 8 User Upgrade
Course Summary
This course covers all of the new features and capabilities of MicroStation V8 with an emphasis on productivity gains. All of the major new capabilities of version 8 will be covered in a series of hands-on exercises. Attendees will become familiar with many of the new features of MicroStation V8 and be able to operate the software and new features confidently.
Instructors
The seminar will be led by one of the primary instructors listed below, as
well as others from The Envision Group’s professional
staff.
Ronald J. Brys, PLS
Mr. Brys, is the founder
and president of the training and consulting firm The Envision Group. He is a
former Land Surveyor, designer, and CADD system administrator. He has
specialized in the software MicroStation & InRoads from Bentley Systems
Corporation. His experience with the application of the software for engineering
firms is invaluable in the instruction and ultimate use in a productive
manner.
He received his degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the
Madison Area Technical College and became a licensed Land Surveyor in 1981. Mr.
Brys is a qualified instructor for the InRoads suite of products including
InRoads (roadway/site design) and InRoads Survey (survey data collection and
processing). He is also a qualified instructor for classes ranging from
MicroStation Basics to advanced topics such as 3D modeling and
visualization.
He has nearly three decades of experience in the
management of data for civil engineering design and construction projects
ranging from airports, urban infrastructure design, to environmental sites and
facilities.
Robert B. Mecham
Mr. Mecham joined the
training and consulting firm The Envision Group in 2000 and became a partner in
June of 2002. He has specialized in the software MicroStation & InRoads from
Bentley Systems Corporation. Mr. Mecham had become an industry expert in the
implementation, configuration, development, and customization of the two
software applications MicroStation and InRoads.
He received his degree in
Civil Engineering Technology from the Madison Area Technical College in 1992.
Mr. Mecham is a “qualified Instructor” for MicroStation classes ranging from
fundamentals to advanced productivity. He has extensive experience using,
implementing, and instructing both InRoads Survey and InRoads Site
Design.
He has over a decade of experience in the use, implementation,
and management of software and CADD systems. Valuable experience was gained
working for a wide range of organizations providing services from general survey
and engineering services to specific applications such as landfills and site
design.
